Mr. DeFeo is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Lake Hill. Before joining Lake Hill, Mr. DeFeo was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Goldman Sachs where he focused on Alternative Risk Premia and Volatility Strategies. He was also the Head Trader and Portfolio Manager within the Alternative Beta Strategies group at Credit Suisse. Previously, he was a Research Analyst for manager selection in the fund of hedge fund group at Bank of America. Alex has been a guest lecturer at the London School of Economics as well as an instructor at UC Berkeley. Some of his previous research has been funded by the US Army, Department of Defense, and the National Science Foundation.
He earned a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
